Yelp Reviews

Dr. Walker is an exceptional dentist with the ability to do full mouth reconstruction, crowns, fillings, cosmetic dentistry and dentures. He has been my dentist for four years, replacing nearly all of my fillings and crowns. Before visiting Dr. Walker, I had bite issues and at one point, was even diagnosed with TMJ. I no longer have any discomfort with my bite. He is a "painless" dentist that gives great results!. I highly recommend him.

Dentures & Denture Repair In The San Jose Bay Area

denture repair bay area

The loss of natural teeth can be stressful and traumatizing for anyone. Fortunately, there are quality treatment options available.

Partial Dentures are used when some of the natural teeth remain. Full Dentures are used when all of the teeth have been removed. Dentures can restore your ability to chew, improve phonetics and your appearance. Many people see great success with denture treatment.

One of the best solutions for those faced with the loss of single or multiple teeth is implants. Implants can be utilized with denture patients and have many benefits. There is greater maintenance of the bone, retention in the mouth, less plastic on the upper (maxillary) palate area. Less plastic means more comfort and food tastes better too.

Immediate dentures are made in a lab using an impression taken from you prior to your teeth being extracted. These are then given to the oral surgeon who places them “immediately” after your extractions. The disadvantage to immediates is that there is no customization. Custom dentures will still receive the immediate dentures but after the healing process new dentures will be made during a series of try-in appointments. Each try-in will help customize the denture for its appearance and function.

Partial dentures are used when a number of teeth are lost but some natural teeth remain. They are removable which makes them easy to clean. Metal is used on the tongue side and clasps are on the cheek side for retention. A removable partial denture is for a dental patient who desires to have replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons, and who cannot have a bridge.
